Extrinsic Immunity Therapeutics, LLC is pioneering a new era of targeted oncology therapeutics and diagnostic tools by leveraging NET technology. Neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs), a crucial immune material released by white blood cells during infections, play a paradoxical role in cancer. While they support our immune system, NETs also fuel tumor growth and metastasis. By specifically targeting NETs, we aim to sever the lifeline of tumors and hinder their progression.

Located in the vibrant heart of Ann Arbor, Michigan, our company is driven by leading biomedical researchers, clinicians, and breast cancer surgeons. Our mission is unwavering: to support patients through relentless innovation. Our extensive commercialization portfolio reflects this commitment.

We are proud to collaborate with esteemed partners such as Nucleate, SPARK, Wacker Chemical, the American Cancer Society, and the University of Michigan. Discover what sets us apart and join us in our mission to revolutionize cancer treatment.

OUR SCIENCE

NETrolyze™ is an investigational therapy designed to target a key component of the innate immune response: neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs). These web-like structures, while originally intended to fight infection, have been implicated in driving tumor progression. Research shows that NETs can create a self-perpetuating cycle that fuels tumor growth, suppresses anti-tumor immunity, and reduces the effectiveness of standard treatments like checkpoint inhibitors and chemotherapy.

NETrolyze is engineered to disrupt this cycle by selectively degrading NETs locally within the primary tumor microenvironment—without compromising the broader immune system.

Our lead indication is triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), an aggressive solid tumor with limited treatment options. Preclinical data suggest that NETrolyze may help delay or prevent metastasis, improve responsiveness to immunotherapy, and ultimately enhance long-term outcomes for patients.

We’re not just studying NETs — we’re building the fundamental tools to outsmart it. Our executive leadership team blends discovery with execution to bring NETrolyze and other investigational NET-targeted therapies to the clinic.
